Obituary of McJerry Colon
McJerry Colon, 28, of Division Street, passed away suddenly Tuesday evening as the result of an automobile accident in which his step daughter, Brook also perished.
Born in Queens, NY on June 9, 1979, he was the son of McJerry Bello and Maria Colon. He moved to this area two years ago and had been employed as a customer service representative at Lowe s in Amsterdam. He was a member of the Roman Catholic faith and was beloved by family and friends alike.
He leaves his father McJerry Bello of Puerto Rico, mother, Maria Colon of Brooklyn, step son Christian Colon of Amsterdam; step daughters Abneris and Keisha Colon both of Amsterdam; brothers; Angel Cortes of Puerto Rico and Juan A. Torres of Amsterdam; aunts, uncles , nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Services are Friday at 10:30 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 11:15 am at St. Michael The Archangel Church. Fr. Lawrence J. Decker celebrant. Interment is in St. Michael s Cemetery.
A calling hour will begin at 9:30 am Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
