Obituary of Theodore Domblewski

Mr. Theodore Domblewski, 84 years old of Riverview Drive, Cranesville, died Wednesday at St. Mary?s Hospital due to cancer. He was born November 9, 1922 in Schenectady, a son of Peter and Christina Adams Dumblewski, and was a life long resident of the Amsterdam area. Mr. Domblewski was employed as a compressed air operator by the General Electric Knolls Atomic Lab in Niskayuna, until retiring in 1983. He was a communicant of St. Casimir?s Roman Catholic Church, active with the Big Brothers-Big Sisters organization for 10 years and enjoyed working on his farm. Mr. Domblewski married the former Rose Marie Wittek on November 25, 1975, who survives. He is also survived by his daughter: Roberta K. Domblewski of Broadalbin; three sisters: Dorothy Dwyer of Amsterdam, Mary Pakenas of Tennesee and Gertrude Bluvas of Amsterdam; His ?Little Brother? Frank Dybas of Amsterdam; His two dear Dauchunds: Heidi and Dodger; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Domblewski was predeceased by two brothers: Francis and Peter Dumblewski. Funeral services will be held 9:30am Saturday, at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed at 10:30am, by a Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Casimir?s Church, with The Rev. Stanley Swierzowski officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 8:30 until 9:30am at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial is in St. Casimir?s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made: Montgomery County SPCA or Community Hospice of Amsterdam.
