Obituary of Eugene B. McClary

Eugene B. McClary, 79, of Mayfield, passed away Wednesday October 17, 2007 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born in Mayfield on March 12, 1928 the son of Daniel and Mildred Eschler McClary. Eugene was a lifelong resident of Mayfield. He married his wife, the former Dorothy Gallup on April 13, 1952. He was a Taxidermist, employed by the former Arch Tabor in Mayfield. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed farming. Eugene was also a former Assistant Fire Chief in the Mayfield Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy McClary; a son, Jeffrey McClary; two daughters, Kathie McClary and Connie Yerina and her husband John and a grandson, Daniel G. McClary, all of Mayfield. He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Gerald and Jay McClary. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday October 20 at Union Rural Cemetery in Mayfield at 9:30 AM with the Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. Donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are with the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home in Gloversville.
