Obituary of Robert J. Miller

Robert J. Miller, 77, of Prospect Street in Fultonville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the home of his niece following a long illness. He was born in Richmond, NY on April 22, 1930 son of the late Robert and Sadie Rolfe Miller. Robert was a life resident of the New York City area. He graduated from high school in Bronx, NY. Following school, Robert entered and served in the United States Army. Following his discharge, he remained in the city until declining health brought him closer to his family in the Fultonville area about 12 years ago where he joined his sister and several of his nieces and nephews. Robert was an avid New York Yankees fan and would often catch the games on television to watch his home team. Robert could also be found at Stewart?s in Fonda where he enjoyed his coffee and scratch off tickets daily. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. His loving family includes his sister, Irene Kearns of Fultonville, a nephew and his wife, Howard and Carol Paxton and their family of Fultonville, and a niece, Leigh Ann Foundeur and her family of Johnstown. Several other nieces and nephews survive. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by a sister, Martha Foundeur. A Legacy Candle Ceremony will be held at 3:00 PM, Today, October 20th, at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the ceremony from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services in Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda.
