Obituary of Ruth E. Tesnow

Ruth E. Tesnow, 93, formerly of Voorhees Road, passed away peacefully Saturday evening at the River Ridge Health Center. Ruth had resided at the Sanford Home For Women prior to entering River Ridge several weeks ago. Born in Amsterdam on April 13, 1914, she was the daughter of Edward L. and Mary Markert Tesnow. A lifelong resident, she was a 1931 graduate of Amsterdam High School. Ruth was employed as a secretary for Mohasco for thirty nine years until she retired in 1980. She was a member of the Calvary Reformed Church in Hagaman and at one time was a member of both the Perth and Hagaman Seniors, as well as the Mohasco Quarter Century Club. She is survived by three nephews; J. Edward Brown of Troy, Thomas L. Scott and David C. Scott both of Amsterdam, as well as grandnieces and nephews, and great- great as well as ?great ? great- great nieces and nephews and cousins. Services are Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery. A calling hour will commence at 9:30 am Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. It was Ruth?s request that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Calvary Reformed Church in care of the funeral home office.
