Obituary of Concetta Nicosia

Mrs. Concetta Nicosia, 92, formerly of St. John Street, Amsterdam, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 7, 2007. Born on January 30, 1915 in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late Libero and Giovannia Marcucci Viscusi. Mrs. Nicosia worked as a seamstress at the former Montco Company. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Christian Women and the Inman Seniors. Her loving family includes her husband, Benedetto Nicosia; three daughters, Louise Drozic of Amsterdam, Joanne Belev and her husband George of Scotia and Monica Kaiser and her husband Robert of Amsterdam; one brother, Anthony Viscusi of Syracuse; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Cipullo and her brothers, Gary and Dominick Viscusi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 11:15a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, St. John Street, Amsterdam with the Rev. Lawrence Decker as celebrant. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
