Obituary of Harriet LaQuay

Harriet LaQuay, 79, passed away Monday November 12, 2007 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She was born in Fonda on January 19, 1928 the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth Austin LaQuay. Harriet grew up in Fonda, where she resided for many years until moving to Malone, NY for over 30 years and then relocating to Gloversville in 2004. Harriet attended Gloversville Day Hab. She enjoyed wearing jewelry and was very sociable. She loved to sing, her favorite song was ?You Are My Sunshine?. Survivors include her brother Dean LaQuay of CT; a sister, Mary LaQuay of Gloversville; her longtime friends, Allen Louise Beach of Malone, Carol Blackwood and family of Gloversville, Cathy McMahon and family of Las Vegas, NV, Allen Beach Jr. and family of Broadalbin, JoAnne Korona and family of Broadalbin, James Beach and family of Malone and Alicia Monette and family of Malone. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother Leon and a sister Ida Mae. Calling hours will be Friday November 16 from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home in Gloversville. A funeral service will be held at 12PM with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Burial will follow in Ferndale Cemetery in Johnstown.
