Obituary of Robert F. Miller

Robert F. Miller, Jr; age 64, of Gloversville, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. He was born July 10, 1953 in Amsterdam, the son of Robert Sr. and Dolores (Billa) Miller. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and foreman by DePoalo and Sons Inc. of Schenectady. In his spare time Bob restored antique cars and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved NASCAR, football and playing cards. He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra (Baird) Miller, two children, Shannon Smith (Joseph) and Jamie Miller, both of Gloversville; a brother, Paul Miller (Carol) of Fonda; two sisters, Linda Phillips (Victor) of Broadalbin and Mabel Sue Gray (Jim) of Gloversville; a half-sister, Sharon Miller; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bob's family also had a foreign exchange student stay with them for a year, Jonathan Monsalve of Venezuela. He was predeceased by his parents. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11am to 1pm, Saturday, February 17 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Memorial Service will follow at 1pm with the Rev. David E. Smith officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
