It is never easy to lose a loved one and I offer my sincerest sympathies to the Martone family and friends. I've experienced firsthand what you all went through and I am deeply sorry you had to go through that. If it helps any, Danny is in pain no more. Danny was a friendly, conscientious and dedicated co-worker who will be sorely missed at the FBI. Thank you for seeing me off those nights. I will see you later, Danny!! Your friend, Tony

To choose one thing to say about Danny is a difficult task, but one word that keeps coming to mind is dedication. Dan was so very dedicated to his job at the FBI and dedicated to every assignment he was given. Because of Danny's dedication, he eased the burden on his co-workers to cover his night shift, as he rarely called in or took time off! When Danny came in at Midnight he always made sure that whoever worked before him got to their car safely before they left for the evening....Dan will be missed as a dedicated FBI employee and also as a dear friend to all in the office.

Dear Diane and Reo,
I am so sorry I was unable to be with you both at this very sad time. I will always remember Danny, his contagious laugh and smile and the endless cups of tea many of us shared with him at Mom'sMarcella's. It was always a special time when Danny was there and he would give me the "best hugs" when he would arrive. My heart cries when I remember those times, with joy for knowing him and sadness for the loss we all share. I see him in heaven with Dadhis Panchodiscussing all the matters of the days at Hallman's!Danny's memory will live on in our hearts and all those who loved him. Diane and Reo, may your faith, love and many memories of Danny give you strength and peace at this very sad time. With Love and prayers, Chris

To the Martone family:
My deepest condolences on Dan's passing. I served with Danny as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Albany Division for three years and will always remember him as a gentleman and a Gentle Man. He always shared a smile and a kind word for everyone. Danny was always upbeat and a pleasure to be around. A great loss to the Albany Division and the FBI as a whole.

Danny was a great friend and co-worker. After leaving the Albany Division in 1991, I would call the office after midnight once or twice a year just to catch up with Danny and what was going on in the division. He always had a positive atitude, but was realistic at the same time. I will miss him.

Dear Diane,
It is with great sadness that we send our condolences to you and Danny's family. What a wonderful gentle person he was. His life has been cut short by a horrible illness that has taken so many people far too young. Let's us not measure his life in the short number of years he lived but by the many people he has touched that will be forever blessed by knowing such a kind and wonderful man. May God bless you all and embrace you to help you in this most difficult journey. We will be thinking of you all.
Fondly, Ron and Audie DiCaprio

Danny and I spoke two or three nights/mornings a week for over twenty years during our many years with the FBI, he of course in Albany, and myself in the Boston Office. It is hard to believe that we never met in all those years, but I feel as if I knew him well, including many of you in his life. My deepest sympathy to his Mom, Diane, and all his family, and also Paul and Stacy and their children.
He was a great person whom I shall miss immensely. Farewell Danny.
