Obituary of Geraldine M. Stanyon

Mrs. Geraldine M. Kuhn Stanyon, age 96, died Monday, December 3, 2007 at Indian River Nursing Home, Granville, NY; where she had resided the past five years. She was born on October 1, 1911 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Ella Perry Kuhn. Geraldine lived in Vermont for 25 years and then returned to Gloversville in 1965. She was a member of the Foothills United Methodist Church. Geraldine is survived by her son, Harold L. Stanyon and his wife Nancy of Castleton, VT; three grandsons, Cortland Stanyon, Timothy Stanyon and Jeffrey Stanyon and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Church, Mildred K. Wilsey, George Kuhn and her half-brother Gordon Genser. A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd; Loudonville, NY 12211. Arrangements are by Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
