Obituary of Evelyn J. Pearo

Evelyn J. Pearo, 67, of Sulphur Springs Road was called home to the Lord, unexpectedly, on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital. She was born August 16, 1940 a daughter of the late Leo and Evelyn Bubniak Milonovich. Evelyn was raised and attended schools in the Amsterdam area. She was of Roman Catholic faith and attended church at St. Mary?s in Amsterdam. She married Melvin J. Pearo on August 26, 1956. Evelyn was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and friend. She always put the needs of her family and friends before her own needs. She was a selfless and giving individual who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her loving family includes her husband of 51 years; Melvin Pearo of Amsterdam, her daughers; Melanie Jayme King of Amsterdam, Kimberly Anthony Montenaro of Amsterdam, and Diane Boddy White of Fultonville, her grandchildren; Amanda King, Kaitlyn King, and Jake White, her brothers; Robert, Ronald, Malcolm, Daniel and Michael Milonovich, and her sister; Patricia Naujeck. Several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law also survive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:15 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evelyn?s memory may be made to Montgomery County SPCA or to St. Jude?s Children?s Cancer Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
