Obituary of Alice E. Gaugler

Alice E. Gaugler, 73, of Bean Hill Road, passed away suddenly Sunday morning at her home. Born in Amsterdam on March 12, 1934, she was the daughter of Walter ?Buck? and Gertrude Francisco Kruger. A lifelong resident, she was a 1951 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Alice was employed for two years by the General Electric Company and for most of her life was a homemaker. She was of the Protestant faith. Alice enjoyed listening to the radio and spending time with her family. She especially loved having coffee with her dear friends Ruth and Irma. On Oct. 25, 1952, she was united in marriage to G. William Gaugler. In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves her sons; William R. Cindy Gaugler of Amsterdam, Daniel P. Gaugler of Lynchburg, Va., and Richard W. Sharon Gaugler of Gainesville, Fla.; a sister; Gladys Krohn of Amsterdam; five grandchildren; Brian, Greg, Tim, Megan and Chessie as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. The Rev. Charles Hesslink officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville. Calling hours are today from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Flowers are acceptable, however contributions may be made in her memory to the Town Of Florida Vol. Fire dept. in care of the funeral home office.
