I just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss. This is one of if not the greatest man I've ever known. The last time that I was able to shake his hand was at my brother Richie"s funeral at the old church. after 20 years of distance he still knew exactly who I was, amzing man, and the memories of the days of being in church on sunday morning and having him shake my hand with that big happy smile was the memories that hold my life in place...I will miss you Mr. Pickering as I have for years. He is one of the greatest influences of my life..... Artie Carter.....

Dear Aunt Betty and Bobby,
Uncle Bob was such a big part of my growing up in Broadablin. From standing up in the stands of the basketball games to helping him burying your Saint Bernard, Uncle Bob was apart of my life that I fondly remember. I remember his talks about when he played basketball. When I brought my dad's truck over to your house after painting the truck green, outside. It didn't turn out to well. But Uncle Bob gave me some ideas of how to correct some of that disaster.
I remember dinners up at Fish House and in the basement of the Masonic Temple. All good, solid, strong, healthy, American upbringing. I thank my lucky stars to have memories of Uncle Bob. A very fine man.
Warm regards, Ralph

Hi Betty & Family: I was sorry to hear of Bob's passing. After i left B/P I lost track of you. As a Mason, I am aware of Bob's great work in the craft. When I was working at B/P with Betty, Bob and I would sometimes meet. That was usually if he came up to the building or sometimes "downtown". He was always an interesting guy to a very young guy like myself. I hope that you, Betty and your entire family know that I appreciated the advice that he gave me about "surviving" in B-Ville. His was a life well lived. Brian gifford
