Obituary of Pearlie Mae Fountain

Pearlie Mae Fountain, age 74, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She was born September 14, 1933 in Fultonville, NY, the daughter of the late Edward and Lena O'Brien Kilmartin. Pearlie was married to Robert M. Fountain, who predeceased her in 1981. Pearlie loved all of nature. She also loved soap operas and old movies. Her favorite actress was Lucille Ball in "I Love Lucy". But most of all, she loved her family. Survivors include her sons: Robert M. Fountain, Jr., Ronnie Fountain, Henry Fountain, Joseph Fountain, Donald Fountain, all of Gloversville and Timothy Van Kleeck of Rochester; daughters: Caroline Freeman of Gloversville, Lena Fountain of Mayfield and Suellen McGillis of Gloversville; her sister, Dorothy Sweet of Gloversville; twenty one grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Henry, Earl, Howard & Dewey. Calling hours will be Monday January 28, 2008 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY. Interment will take place at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville in the spring.
