Obituary of Frank Pasquarelli
Frank Pasquarelli, 92, of Tribes Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at River Ridge Living Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 6, 1924 in Amsterdam, he was a son of the late Slyvester and Angelina Stellato Pasquarelli. A lifelong resident of the area, Frank graduated from local school. He was a proud veteran, serving his country in the United States Army during WWII; with deployments to England and the Northern France Campaign. Frank was awarded The Thank You America certificate by the French Government. He was also awarded the New York State Senate Certificate of Merit and The Liberty Award for his service to his country. Frank went on to work for the Navy Depo in Scotia and the Watervliet Arsenal, retiring in 1984.
Frank was an active member of Sacred Heart Church, often times helping with maintenance and volunteering at different events; a member of the Holy Name, the S.S.V.A and the NARFE. He loved to do puzzles, woodwork, be outdoors; especially gardening, and most of all he loved to watch his favorite football team, the Giants.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Alice Connor Pasquarelli; brother, John Pasquarelli and sister, Theresa Muscatello (Musky); good friends, Tom and Mary Lou Couglin, Rusty and Jamie Bolen and Attorney, Del Salmon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Frank was predeceased by his brother, Louis Pasquarelli and his sisters, Josephine Kaczor and Mary Buzzelli.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 12 noon at Sacred Heart Church, Tribes Hill, with Rev. Christopher Welch. Burial will take place in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, January 30th from 9:00am until 11:00am at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
