Obituary of Ann T. Leggiero

Ann T. Leggiero, 79, formerly of Amsterdam passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Good Samaritan Lutheran Heath Care Center in Delmar. She was born June 14, 1928 a daughter of the late James L. and Anna T. McRedmond Horton. Ann was born and raised in the Amsterdam area and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. She married Louis A. Leggiero on August 17, 1946. He predeceased her in 1984. Ann worked as a Personal Assistant for many years at Freihofer's Bakery in Schenectady until her retirement around 20 years ago. She was of Roman Catholic faith and was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Rotterdam Jct. Her loving family includes her sons; James Kathy Leggiero of Slingerland and Stephen Leggiero of McKinney, TX, a sister; Beatrice Bucci of Scotia, a brother; James Horton of Red Bluff, CA, five grandchildren; Ryan Deidre Leggiero, Kyle Leggiero, Melissa Leggiero, Cory Leggiero and Brandon Leggiero. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters; Isabella Kathleen Leggiero and Vittoria Valentina Leggiero. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ann was predeceased by four sisters; Mildred, Adeline, Agnes and Lorraine. Funeral Services will be at 11:00AM on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with Fr. Pascal Iannotti, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Johnson. Donations in Ann's memory may be made to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 643270, Cincinnati, OH 45264-3270.
