Obituary of Gordon D. Herringshaw

Mr. Gordon David Herringshaw, age 54 of Lotville Rd; Town of Oppenheim, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at his home. He was born on August 3, 1953 in Little Falls, NY, the son of the late William C. Herringshaw and Martha Mosher Herringshaw. A 1971 graduate of Dolgeville Central School, Gordon lived most of his adult life in the Oppenheim area where he was a self employed mechanic and carpenter. Gordon was known for his love of fishing and hunting. He is survived by his mother, Martha Herringshaw of Johnstown; a brother, William M. Herringshaw and his wife Dalia of Little Falls; a sister, Barbara Hillabrandt of Johnstown and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Herringshaw. There will be no calling hours or services. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family at Rural Park Cemetery, Ingams Mills. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville.
