Obituary of Ruth Alice Mogridge Kirk Van Ness

Ruth Alice Mogridge Kirk Van Ness, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday evening March 2, 2008 at St. Peters University Hospital in Brunswick, New Jersey with her loving husband at her side. She was born on December 7, 1918 in Exuix, PA. Ruth resided in Schenectady for a short time. She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. One of her favorite things to do was to visit the Jersey shore. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Elmer Van Ness of South River, N.J. 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by her first husband, Bennie C. Kirk Sr., one sister, Josephine E. Sheldon, three sons, Robert E. Kirk, Bennie C. Kirk, Fredrick F. Kirk and one daughter, Helen V. Swan. There will be no services for Ruth. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
