Obituary of Bernard Walpow

Bernard Walpow, 70, died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born December 29, 1937 to Sam and Lee Glusken in Kings' County, New York. Bernie was a resident of the Lexington Center since 1995. He loved music, the outdoors and the attention of others. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Pete Simons and a nephew, Peter Walpow. Friends are invited and may call to the Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street on Wednesday, March 19 from 9-10 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rabbi Martin Gordon officiating. Interment will be at Knesseth Israel Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernie's memory to the Lexington Center, 127 East State St. Gloversville, N.Y. 12078.
