Obituary of Barbara A. Bruse Wyszomirski

Our beloved Barbara entered into rest on Sunday, March 23, 2008. She was born in Gloversville, NY, the daughter of Paul H. Bruse and Florence E. Wager Bruse. She was educated in Gloversville Schools. Barbara worked as a sales clerk at the former M. Lurie & Co., and Holzheimer and Shaul department stores in Amsterdam. She also worked for many years as a nurses' aide at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital, and most recently for seventeen years as direct care staff at Lexington Center, retiring in November, 1998. Survivors include her devoted husband, William H. Wyszomirski, whom she married on March 1, 1986; beloved children: Stephen M. Hesselink Michelle and Amy E. Brunner Kerry of Gloversville; three brothers: Paul E. Bruse, Michael E. Bruse of Gloversville, David A. Bruse of Florida; one sister: Diane Perna Anthony of Johnstown; four grandchildren: Alisa Hesselink, Taylor Hesselink, Casey Jasewicz Jonathan and Garecht Brunner, all residing locally. Also surviving, one stepson: William M. Wyszomirski Lisa; two step grandsons: Garin L. Wyszomirski and Troy W. Wyszomirski of Amsterdam; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Charles W. Bruse and one nephew, Jason H. Perna. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be conducted for family and close friends on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with the Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Memorial contributions can be made to the James A Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd. Gloversville, NY 12078 or to a charity of one's choice.
