Obituary of John N. Cyr

Mr. John N. Cyr Sr., 48 of South Green Road, Sprakers, NY died suddenly Monday, March 24, 2008 at his home. Born on August 20, 1959 he was the son of Albert and Elizabeth Cook Cyr. He grew up in the Albany area and moved to Sprakers, NY in 1998. John worked in landscaping and as a heavy laborer until his early retirement. He will be missed by all who knew him. His family includes his parents, his wife, Lynn T. Cyr; five children, Michael, John, Kathryn, Patricia and Courtney Cyr; four brothers, Harold, Albert, Thomas and Bernard Cyr; two sisters, Rose Ann Potter and her husband Elmer and Patricia Sawyer and her husband Clarence. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Richard Cyr. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 11 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Interment will take place at a later date in Sloansville Valley Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10 until 11 prior to the service.
