Obituary of Noreen Fraumane
Noreen Fraumane, 72, formerly of Vrooman Avenue, passed away Monday morning at St. Mary's Hospital shortly after arrival. Her family was at her side.
Born in Amsterdam on Dec. 12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Regina Meller Lewandowski. Educated locally, she lived here her entire life. Noreen was a home maker and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was a CB Radio enthusiast, and was known as "Cough Drop" on the air. Her family will remember her as a loving mom , grandma and friend, whose greatest joy was her great grandson Anthony. They will forever smile as they recall her many 'nanny-isms'.
She was a parishioner of St. Michael The Archangel Roman catholic Church.
Her beloved husband, Samuel A. Fraumane, whom she wed on Sept. 13, 1953, predeceased her on January 13, 2002. In addition to her parents, she recently lost her sister, Lucille Beddig on March 12.
Her loving family includes her son Samuel A. Fraumane Jr. and his wife Donna of Hagaman; her granddaughter, Shannon and her husband Terry Cannizzaro; and Noreen's pride and joy, their son Anthony Giovanni Cannizzaro; her sister, Theresa Donald Brackett of Saratoga Springs; and nieces and nephews.
Services are Thursday at 8:30 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 9:15 am at St. Michael The Archangel Church. Fr. Lawrence J. Decker, celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Michael's Memorial Fund, or the Juvenile Diabetes Asso. both in care of the funeral home office.
