Obituary of Marion E. Murawski

Marion E. Murawski, 93, of Angelcrest Drive, passed away Tuesday April 8th at St. Jude Medical Center. Born in Amsterdam on Feb. 19, 1915, a daughter of John M. and Mary Sokalski Wojcicki, she was educated here and moved to California fifty one years ago. In Amsterdam, she was employed by the Bigelow Sanford Carpet Company, Both Marion and her husband were employed by Sbicca Of California until they retired. She was a communicant of Nativity Parish of El Monte. She was active in the PTA and other groups. Marion was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to all. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. She was married in 1940 to Anthony "Ham" Murawski also an Amsterdam native who predeceased her. Her sister, Lottie Wojcicki also predeceased her. Marion's loving family includes her daughter, Joan Lavey of Hacienda Heights; her son, Thomas Murawski of Boise, Idaho; brother; Fred Wojcicki of Hacienda Heights; neice, Arlene Guarino of Fort Johnson, NY; four grandchildren; Sean Lavey, Kelly Lavey, Morgan Murawski and Mickail Murawski; three great grandchildren also survive. A Rosary and Funeral Mass took place in California. Relatives and friends locally are invited to attend the Rite Of Committal on Friday morning at 11:00 am at St. John The Baptist Cemetery, Widow Susan Road, Amsterdam. Fr. Neil Draves-Arpei officiating. Her family has entrusted her arrangements to the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
