Obituary of Beverly A. Engle

Beverly A. Engle, 76, of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at her home. Born on August 8, 1940 in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Vivian Mason Engle. A lifelong resident of the area, Beverly attended local schools and went on to work for many of the manufacturing companies within the city. Beverly loved playing BINGO, especially going to Turning Stone Casino with her friends from the apartment complex. Most of all, she loved her family; Beverly will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her son, Scott Engle (Cora); brothers, Kenneth Engle (Carol) and Gary Engle (Joyce); grandchildren, Alicia Snyder, Patricia DiSecenza (Mark); Brandy Snyder and Andraiah Bleyl; great-grandchildren, Michelle, Lily, John Jr, Wade and Kayden. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Besides her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her great-grandson, Skyler. It was Beverly's wishes that there be no formal calling hours or services. Private burial at Chuctanunda Cemetery, where Beverly will be buried with her parents will take place at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in Beverly's name can be made to the Susan B. Koman For the Cure, 501 New Karner Road, Ste. 2B, Albany, New York 12205; in memory of Beverly being a 12 year breast cancer survivor this April 2017.
