Obituary of Eileen N. Perham
Mrs. Eileen N. Perham, 92 of Mayfield, died Friday at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Born September 5, 1915 in Mayfield, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Gertie Blowers Newton. Mrs. Perham was educated in Mayfield and Gloversville schools and employed at several area glove shops as a glove maker thumber. She retired several years ago from the former Rubin Glove Co. She was a seventy-five year member of the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, and helped make hundreds of quilts for the women's association. She was also a member of the Mayfield Servicemen's Club Auxiliary and chaplin of the Mayfield Bannertown 50 plus Club. Eileen was married October 14, 1934 to Kenneth A. Perham who pre-deceased her in 1989.
She is survived by her son Wayne Perham and daughter Virginia Perham Hall, both of Mayfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Douglas A. Deborah of Alexandria, Va., Debra J. of Tribes Hill and Timothy M. Laura of Pikeville, N.C.
Additional survivors include four great grandsons; Baylee, Nolan, Patrick and Will along with her sister Mildred Edel of Gloversville and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Perham was pre-deceased by a brother, John Newton.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 am Monday from the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with Reverend Bonnie Orth, Pastor of the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-7 pm. Burial will be in Mayfield Cemetery.
