Obituary of Mark Ross Mac Vean
Mark Ross MacVean, 51, of Gorski Street passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Amsterdam on February 5, 1957 a son of the late H. Ross and Ruth Dickens MacVean.
Mark was a life resident of the area and was a 1975 graduate of Gloversville High School. His passions in life included music, fishing and Ducati Bike Racing. He was also an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
His loving family includes his two sons, Marc Ross and Zachary Michael, two sisters, Jane Tourville and her husband, Richard and Laurie Dyer, and three step-sons, Eric, Jared and Joshua Cheney. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by his sister, Judy MacVean.
Funeral Services will be at 4:00pm on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the United Methodist Church, Golf Course Road, Amsterdam with Pastor Greg DeSalvatore, officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 to 4:00pm at the church prior to services. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mark's memory may be made to; Lifeworks of Montgomery County, in care of, First Niagara Bank, 138 N. Comrie Ave., Johnstown, NY 12095. Checks must have Mark's name in the memo line.
