Obituary of Cyril R. Bradbury
On June 5, 2008 Cyril R. Bradbury entered into eternal rest. Cyril was a devoted family man. On May 2, 1942 he married Hazel Cole. They spent their entire married lives living their marriage vows to the fullest. He attended school in Gloversville and in 1964 he obtained his High School Equivalency diploma.
He was devoted to his work at NA Taylor for 25 years retiring in 1985. In his retirement years he continued to serve his commitment to the Fremont Street United Methodist Church to which he was a longtime member. He also worked to help better the lives of seniors in the area with his volunteer work delivering meals for the Office of the Aging. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. He loved long road trips to explore new places of interest.
Cyril will be missed by his wife Hazel of 66 years, children Larry Mary Ann & Linda John Danner, grandchildren Mattheau Alycia & Bruce Michelle Davis, Terra Jerry Mehr, Elizabeth Erica Danner and Tonya Bradbury, and his 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
His son-in-law John officiated at a graveside service on June 7th at Prospect Hill Cemetery. A brunch remembering his life will be held for family members and friends at the Holiday Inn, Johnstown, on Saturday, July 26th. The family would like to thank all who sent cards to his wife during her time of sadness.
