Obituary of Timothy L. Steenburg

Timothy L. Steenburg, age 70, of Gloversville, died Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Albany Medical Center, Albany. He was born December 14, 1947 in Gloversville, the son of Frederick and Mabel (Wagner) Steenburg. He was employed all of his lifetime at various leather mills in the area including Johnstown Leather and until the time of his death at Simco Leather, Johnstown. Tim loved to purchase scratch off tickets and visit his friends at Dunkin' Donuts. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He is survived by his wife, Marie (Christiano) Steenburg; two daughters, Tina Steenburg and Luci Schrader; two brothers, Thomas Steenburg and Robert Steenburg; 9 grandchidren, 9 great-grandchildren, several niece and nephews. Tim was predeceased by his parents, a son, Timothy Steenburg, Jr. and a brother, Gerald Steenburg. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday, February 21 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of you choice.
