Obituary of Corey Yerdon

Corey A. Yerdon, 29, of Latimer Hill Road, Canajoharie, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at home. Born on July 24, 1978 he was the son of Brian Yerdon and Constance Olson Yerdon. A lifelong area resident, Corey attended Canajoharie schools. He was employed as a utility driver for the Walmart Distribution Center in Sharon Springs. Corey had a passion for music and was the proprietor of CY CD Entertainment. He enjoyed being a Disc Jockey and loved life. Above all he loved his children and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Olson and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Joyce Yerdon. His loving family includes, his mother, Constance "Connie" Yerdon and her companion Chuck Mussmacher and his father, Brian Yerdon; his maternal grandfather, Clyde Olson; his children, Owan Yerdon, Matthew Moore and Kayleigh Yerdon; one brother, Aaron Yerdon; and his dog, Butch. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 11:30a.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday evening from 4 until 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an educational fund for his children. It is asked that checks are made payable to Constance Yerdon, and donations will be accepted through the funeral home office.
