Obituary of Elizabeth A. Spagnola

Elizabeth Ann Hurley Spagnola, 93, of Hagaman, NY passed away Saturday June 28th, 2008 at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam. She was born in Troy, NY on May 14, 1915 a daughter of the late Albert and Arvilla Albro Hurley. She attended school in Schaghticoke, NY. After her marriage to Louis F. Spagnola in 1945, she moved to Hagaman, NY where she resided until recently. Mrs. Spagnola was a homemaker until the death of her husband in 1967, at which time she began helping her son, Tom, at his business, Tom's Tavern in Hagaman. She truly enjoyed working there and being around family and customers. Elizabeth enjoyed her beautiful flower garden each year and loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was of the Methodist Faith. Her loving family includes two sons, Thomas A. Spagnola and Robert S. Spagnola Edwina both of Hagaman; Two daughters, Patti Lou Frollo Louis, Jr. and Janice E. Giuliani both of Amsterdam; She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Darren, Kristin, Jaime, Amy, Tom, Michael, Sherri, Louie and Jennifer; Fourteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Harry Hurley and a sister Alberta Laudate. She was most recently predeceased by her son-in-law John Giuliani on February 18, 2003. Private Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 2, 2008 at 11:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY. Interment will be in Hagaman Mills Cemetery, Hagaman, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from 3:00 to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, 950 New Loudon Rd, Suite 280, Latham, NY 12110-2130.
