Obituary of Daniel Milety Santiago

Daniel Milety Santiago, 81, of Amsterdam , NY, passed away Friday February 10, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. He was born on June 1, 1935 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico the son of the late Dionisio and Carmen Santiago Milety. He attended school in Puerto Rico. ` Daniel was a self-employed mechanic and was very good at what he did. He worked in the government in Puerto Rico before coming to Amsterdam several years ago. He was a minister and chaplain in Puerto Rico. He loved playing the guitar and was a talented musician. He is survived by two sons, Daniel Millette of Amsterdam and David Milette of Wisconsin. Daughters, Carmelinda Millette of Pennsylvania and Mary Lou Milety of Puerto Rico . Fourteen siblings, Eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins survive. A Funeral service will be held on Friday February 17, 2017 at 2:30 PM at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.
