Obituary of Betty S. Osborn
FORT PLAIN, NY-Betty S. Osborn 91, Fort Plain N.Y. passed away surrounded by her loving family and beloved cat Princess Tori.
Betty, daughter of the late, James and Lena Shelp was born November 22,1925. She was the youngest of seven predeceased siblings . Mildred Engle , Robert Shelp, Irene Fox, Gertrude Farrow, Mary Kemp, and Helen Hubschmitt.
Betty graduated from Canajoharie Central School "Class of 1944". After graduation she worked at Beech Nut from 1944-1988
She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church Fort Plain N.Y.. and the Fort Plain Senior Center .She had many hobbies and enjoyed reading, helping others, shopping and movies. However, her favorite was spending time with her family and taking care of everyone.
She married William C Osborn on June 14 ,1952; he predeceased her in August, 1980. She was also predeceased by her longtime companion David Keba, February of 2012.
Mrs. Osborn is survived by her three children, Roger J Osborn , Paula J (Osborn) Jackson (Thomas), Michelle L.(Osborn) Lawyer (Dennis); grandchildren, Yvonne Ambrosino (Thomas), Shawnee Frisch (Jeff) Anjolea , Jmie and Adom Lawyer (Barbara) Thomas Jackson (Shelli), Kristian Jackson ,(Roy) and Benajmin Miller (predeceased); great grandchildren, Izabella and Hannah Ambrosino , Amber and Becky Lawyer , Emily and Cameron Jackson , Anna May Petit Bradon Jackson, James, Aaron, Karly, Miller , Nickolaus Frisch predeceased) and many beloved nieces nephews cousins and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at the H.C BENEFIT Club in St. Johnsville N.Y. on Sunday February 19, 2017. From 1:00 to-5:00 PM. All are welcome to join the family in remembering her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kennedy Krieger or to the American Cancer Society . Local arrangements are by the Lenz and Betz Funeral Home, Canajoharie.
