I guess it's time......
I see my parents during x-mas and when they would come down for a few months in the winter......I always dreaded when it would be time for them to head north......I could never say goodby to them, it was always
"see you soon"
I also make it a point to always tell my family that I love them so if anything happens that will have been the last thing I say to them....I say it alot and hope it dosn't loose it's meaning.....
I love you Dad...and will be seeing you..................

I know it took me a long time to do this. I guess I had problems facing the fact that he is gone. Then his picture is here on the site, and it's so perfect!! It is him. I want you to know how much Mr. Spiry meant to me. He was not only one of the smartest and likable teachers I ever knew, but I believe he really cared. I never received much attention from my dad, and I found myself wanting to please Mr. Spiry. What he thought of me really mattered. I would always make an extra effort to make him proud of me. He was always calm and kind, and believed in his students. What a loss, I feel like I lost a good friend. How lucky you, his family, are to have had him in your lives. My prayers are with you.

Pop, grandpa, my dad, and friend was one of the greatest gifts of life. His smile and encouraging words will be missed and there are no words for the empty place left behind. It honestly feels like he's still here, just out of sight. So many have been touched by his life and have responded to our family and shared many stories. That's how we will keep him FOREVER alive in our hearts. Keep the stories coming, we love it and he would be pleased to have left so many fond memories behind. See you somewhere down the road...and Dad...until we meet again...loving you to the moon and back and even further...you will ALWAYS be in our hearts!

Dear Lorraine,
Jerry always made the carpool fun. All of the games he would encourage David Livingston and I to play probably drove our moms crazy! I especially loved it when he would pick me up and just the two of us would have breakfast at the coffee shop. I have so many fond memories of him. May he live on in all of our hearts and memories. God bless.

Lorraine, Mary, Dale, Teddy, Sandy and families. I am truely at a loss, but I could not have been blessed with a better brother, as you were with a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. All of his qualities show up in each and every one of you, and I take comfort knowing that his legacy will live on through you. His jovial nature, out going personality, genuine caring, family concern, and willingness to 'have a go', will always be remembered by me. Our most sincere condolences during this time of grief. Mrs. Spiry and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Spiry was my math teacher from '76-'81 at OECS. He always stated you couldn't earn a 100% in math; back then I didn't understand, but now I know what he was saying. His love of math led to mine as I taught it for 6 years! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My sincerest condolences to the Spiry Family for their loss.
Mr. Spiry was a major contributor in my current success as a Sr. Technical Analyst for my company. His countless number of times he let me work/play in the Computer Lab at Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School during my study hall times helped me to grow my knowledge in the computer field. Many times I recount the stories that I had with the First School Computer, and the First School Network MUPET. And not to forget the time my Brother and I were called out of our classes to help Mr. Spriy hack the Principals password on his MDS Disk successfully. He was definitely an inspiration to many young men and women who he encountered. He will be truly missed.

Mrs. Spiry and Family,
I was very sorry to hear about the death of Mr. Spiry. I graduated from OECS in 1979 and of course had the privilege of having Mr. Spiry as my teacher for my junior high and high school years. He was a wonderful teacher who you knew you could always go to with any questions or problems. He was definitely one of my favorite teachers. His dedication to OECS continued even through his retirement.
I hadn't talked to him in quite some time but was fortunate enough, over the last couple of years, to see him at area parades. We visited a while when we attended these parades and laughed about the old school days.
He was a wonderful man who I know truly loved his family as he always spoke often of all of you. My thoughts are with you and your family. The world has lost a great man. You are in my prayers.
