Obituary of Helen G. Wilber

Helen G. Wilber, 90, died on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at her home in Johnstown. Born in Gloversville on October 30, 1917, she was the daughter of Harry and Sie Green Eggelston. Helen loved nature and car rides through the country. She also enjoyed raising chickens. She had many special ways about her and was a wonderful mother. Helen was married to Richard Wilber. He died on June 19, 1971. Survivors include her six children: Lawrence Wilber and his wife Lori, Herbert William Wilber, Jean Blowers and her husband Charlie, Kenneth C. Wilber, Judy Tyrell and her husband Richard and Timothy D. Wilber all of Gloversville; a sister, Alice Yousey of Crogan, NY; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 29 at 11am at Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville with the Rev. Matt Splittgerber officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
