Obituary of Beatrice K. Demitraszek

Beatrice K. Demitraszek, 78, formerly of Hagaman, NY; resident for two years at the River Ridge Living Center, Sandy Drive, Amsterdam passed away Saturday evening at St. Mary's Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born May 14, 1930 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late William and Beatrice Going Krutz. She attended Holy Cross School in N.Y.C. and was a graduate of F.M.C.C. with an Associates Degree in Fine Arts. Beatrice was employed as a seamstress for various clothing manufacturers in N.Y.C. and Amsterdam. She was a member of the Ladies Garment Union. Beatrice enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and painting. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Demitraszek, who passed away in 1963. Survivors include two sons, Anthony "Tony" Demitraszek, Sr. of Hastings, NY and John J. Demitraszek, Jr. Kanako of Salisbury, NC; a daughter, Maryann Osborne David of Amsterdam; seven grandchildren, Mark Demitraszek Amanda, Tony Demitraszek Michelle, Alexander Demitraszek, Laura Demitraszek James, John Demitraszek III, Christopher Demitraszek and Scott Demitraszek; four great grandchildren, Kaylie, Katelynn, Mark and Allison; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. It was the request of Beatrice that there be no funeral or calling hours. Cremation has taken place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady.
