Obituary of Mae R. Petrie

Mae R. Petrie, 99, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in Gloversville. She was born May 19, 1909, the daughter of the late William and Mary Noviak Flynn in Albany. Mrs. Petrie graduated from Fulton Montgomery Community College with an AA in English in 1969. She graduated from SUNY Albany with a BA in English in 1971. She was employed as a senior payroll clerk at the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1997. Mae was united in marriage to Paul Petrie, Sr. July 8, 1944. He predeceased her in 1966. Survivors include her son, Paul Petrie, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Gloversville. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. Donations may be made in Mae's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave. Gloversville, NY 12078.
