Obituary of Margaret B. Dunham
Mrs. Margaret B. Johnson Dunham of Gloversville went to be with her angels on September 12, 2008. Her deceased angels are her husband Bruce H. Dunham on January 8, 2001, her son Dale E. Dunham in September of 1976, and her granddaughter Tara Marie Giardino on November 25, 1994.
She was born on September 1, 1941 the daughter of the late Everett and Helen Johnson of Stratford. She was educated in Stratford schools. On September 12, 1959 she married Bruce H. Dunham and moved to Gloversville.
Margaret retired from Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home in 2004 and continued to perform home health care until her death. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and collecting angels.
She was the loving mother of Robin L. Burkart Bob of Glen, Bruce H. Dunham Maryann of Gloversville and Renee H. G. Gardner Frank Berenger of Gloversville; sister of Everett "Sonny" Johnson of Dolgeville, Ruth Edick Tom Perkins of Stratford, Juanita Belcher of Mayfield, Carolyn Bullock John Smith of Dolgeville, Timothy Johnson Linda of Stratford, Pamela Jaquay of Dolgeville, Sheree Herringshaw Frank of Dolgeville and Michelle Mowers Gary of Dolgeville; devoted grandmother of Justin Giardino Christie Marley, Jason Dunham, Courtney Dunham, Angela David Craig, Danielle Gardner, Tracy Dence Mike, Amanda Burkart, Jarrod J. Johnson, Sr; Chris Berenger, Timothy Berenger and Jenna Berenger. Margaret is also survived by six great-grandchildren, her step-mother Evelyn Johnson of Stratford, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and her pet cats Pepper and Tarzan. She was also preceded in death by her brother Roger Johnson.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 15th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Larry D. Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the charity of your choice.
