Obituary of Stanley Kucel
Stanley Kucel of Gloversville rested peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home. He was the son of Joseph and Frances Kucel.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Kucel, whom he met while roller skating as a teenager. They were married on February 4, 1945. They have three children, Vicki Kucel, Stan Kucel (Janet) and Lori Kucel; five grandchildren, Eric (Gina), Kaile (Chris), Brittney (Brett), Stacie (Brandon), Erica (Joe) and three great granddaughters, Isabella, Aurora and Peyton. He was predeceased by his first born son Michael.
Stanley was a WWII Veteran. He founded and operated Kucel Builders. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and telling family and friends stories about Greenland and the "old days". He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed teaching and sharing family traditions with his children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 432, Mayfield, NY 12117.
