Obituary of Michael E. Carbonelli
Michael E. Carbonelli, 71, of Linda Drive, Hagaman, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Amsterdam on November 5, 1936 a son of the late Edward and Mildred Giaquinto Carbonelli.
Michael was a life resident of the area and attended Amsterdam schools. He served his country during the Korean War era in the US ARMY. After his discharge in 1956, Michael went to work as a truck driver for Boss-Linco Trucking in Amsterdam and then retired from Preston Trucking in Schenectaday in 1992.
Michael had a passion for model railroad trains and model airplanes. He spent hours building and flying the planes as a hobby with the former "Lazy 8 Club". In recent years, Michael enjoyed spending time with his grandson, David. He will be sadly missed by all.
His loving family includes his wife, the former Barbara Kubas of Hagaman, his son, Michael A. Carbonelli of Hagaman, his daughter, Bonnie David Puglisi of Hagaman, his grandson, David Puglisi, Jr. of Hagaman, his brothers, Edward Carbonelli of Saratoga Springs and Robert Carbonelli of Albany, his sisters, Delia Lanzi of Florida and Marla Ross of Amsterdam, and his step-daughters, Penny Lynn Ferone of Queens and Harley Ray Wallin of Monticello. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
