Obituary of Mildred M. Doyle

Mrs. Mildred M. Doyle, age 81, of St. Johnsville Nursing Home passed peacefully from this life on Friday, September 26, 2008, after a long illness. She was born on January 18, 1927 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Carlo and Josephine Servidio Lisco. She lived for many years in Nelliston attending Fort Plain Central School. She left New York to travel. She was married to John Robert Franks on January 29, 1949 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. They lived in Michigan, Rhode Island, and Florida before settling in Richmond, Virginia upon her husband's retirement from the U.S. Navy. Mr. Franks predeceased her on January 23, 1967. Mildred was employed as an office manager at INA Insurance in Richmond. She was remarried on June 3, 1969 to Eugene Doyle who predeceased her on June 21, 1996. Mildred worked as a volunteer at the Little Sisters of the Poor for many years, and volunteered for many church events. She was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Doyle was also predeceased by two brothers, Frank Lisco of Fort Plain and Leonard Lisco of Richmond, VA. In April of 1998 she returned to New York, living with her nephew and niece, Michael and Diane Boslet and family. Survivors include two sisters, Theresa Boslet of Nelliston and Caroline Waghorn of Herkimer; two brothers, Nicholas Lisco of Schenectady and Joseph Lisco of Fort Plain; and many nieces, nephews. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
