Obituary of Carmen Mercedes Rosado
Carmen Mercedes Rosado, 91, of Forbes Street, passed into the arms of her Lord on Saturday evening at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Morovis, Puerto Rico on June 7, 1917 she lived here for the past fifty years. Carmen was dedicated to her large family and was devoted to her church, the Church of God of Prophesy. The widow of Juan Rosado, she leaves her children: Elba Rios, Awilda, Dina, Pedro J. Letica Rosado, Olga Juan Valentin, Angel and Wilfredo Rosado, Jacob Sanabria and Beth Covell; grandchildren: C. Jannette Randy Lehr, Wilfredo Jasmine Terrell Rosado, Jr, Elizabeth Jason Brooks Rosado, Juan "Tony" Valentin, Audrey Valentin Rosa, Jeanette Valentin, Ivy & Manuel "Pito" Mayra Rios, Elizabeth "Mari" Rios, Victor and Axel Quinones, Juana "Jenny" Jose Huertas, Pedro Rosado Jr., Wilfredo , Miguel, Sonia and David Rosado; great grandchildren; Christopher A. and Kaitlynn Taylor Lehr, Wilfredo Rosado III, Hayden Rosado, Kassandra Marie Brooks, Jary, Jon, Giovanni, Aric, Arica and Emmanuel Valentin, Maria, Ashley and Destiny Rosa, Jessenia, Giselle, Jaylene Pagan, Nicholas Rosa, Letica, Crystal, Wilfredo Jr., Michael, DJ, Yamalit, Angelica, Jonathin, Pedro and Miguel Rosado, Alberto and Ivilsse Serrano, Axel Jr. , Anthony, Derek and Marissa Quinones, Margie and Amy Martinez, Iris Huertas, Victor and Iris Quinones, Wilbur MacDonald, Ninja, Manuel III and Francisco Rios, Pedro Jr., Wilfredo, Miguel, Sonia and David Rosado and Maribel Valentin; great-great grandchildren: Jariel Valentin, Nathan Zwack, Christian Mickus, Michael and Angel Serrano, Evan and Kianna Castro, Kaylee, Janelis and Natalie Rios, Isreal and Antonio Gonzalez, Joanna Rosado, Aliana Boddie, Hanoesty Macdonald, Italia and Anthony Sagarese; Loved ones: Gilberto Vasquez, Pastor Luis Doris King, Pastor Jose Felicia Payano, Suleica Shephard, Josefina King, Isabel Cintron, Captain Gregory Alma Durand, Edna Marguez, Juanita and Cuba. Carmen's daughter, Juana Rosado; brothers, Alberto, Ramon and Juanito Rosado and sister, Victoria Rosado all predeceased her.
Services are Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Church of God of Prophesy, East Main Street with Pastor Luis King officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A calling hour will commence at the church at 10:00 am. Her family has entrusted her arrangements to the care of Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue.
