Obituary of Mildred Ferguson
Mrs. Mildred Ferguson, 87, of Gloversville, died Saturday at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Mrs. Ferguson was born June 29, 1922 in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late William and Florence Falkman. She was educated in the Bronx and a high school graduate there.
Moving to Gloversville in 1969, Mildred was a waitress at area bar and restaurant facilities, most notably the former Art's Tavern, the V.F.W. in Gloversville and the Show Inn. Mildred was a long time animal lover who cared for many pets during her lifetime.
She was Roman Catholic in faith. Mrs. Ferguson was pre-deceased by her husband Laurence Ferguson in 1971.
She is survived by her sons; William Penny Ferguson of Gloversville and Shane Jodi Ferguson of Johnstown, four grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ferguson was pre-deceased by a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of her family. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Loudonville, N.Y. 12211, or to the Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd. Gloversville, N.Y. 12078. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
