Obituary of Jane C. Rusnica

Jane C. Rusnica, 78, of Francisco Lane, passed away Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Hospital with her loving daughters at her side. Born in Amsterdam on August 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Clara Napoli Francisco.A lifelong resident, she was a 1948 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Jane worked for a time at Mohasco and Montco and later for ten years as an administrative assistant for the Montgomery County Department Of Social Services, retiring in 1996. An avid Yankees fan, she loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the CSEA and a parishioner of St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church. It was there that on June 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to Louis Rusnica. He predeceased her on Nov. 16, 1996. Her loving family includes her daughters; Sandra Steven Rogozinski of River Vale N.J., and Susan John Korchinsky of Amsterdam; grandsons; Matthew and his wife Kerry Andolina Korchinsky and Michael J. Rogozinski; her sister, Yolanda Francisco of Amsterdam as well as many close cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Services are Friday at 10:15 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 11:15 am at St. Michael The Archangel Church. Fr. Lawrence J. Decker, celebrant. Interment is in St. Michael's Cemetery. calling hours are today from 4-7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice Of Amsterdam or to GAVAC both in care of the funeral home office.
