Obituary of Audrey M. Brower

Audrey M. Brower, 78, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Albany Medical Center. She was born in Northville on April 19, 1930, the daughter of the late Arthur and Harriet Sauer Fox. Mrs. Brower was educated in Gloversville schools and was employed by N.A. Taylor where she worked in assembly. Mrs. Brower was a member of the Gloversville Senior Center. She loved being with her family and loved to travel. She married Oakley Brower on April 20, 1953; he predeceased her in 1985. Mrs. Brower is survived by two sons: Steven Brower of Gloversville and Barney Sharon Brower of Mayfield; two sisters: Shirley Ed Bendle of Johnstown and Mrs. Jean Porter of Delaware; four grandchildren: Russell, Jennifer, Diana and Douglas; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved friends at Petoff Gardens. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Brower was predeceased by two brothers: Don and Louie Fox and one sister, Norma Armstrong. Family and friends are invited and may call on Saturday, November 1st from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Almleaf presiding. Interment will be at prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville at the convenience of the family.
