Obituary of Antoinette Anadio

Mrs. Antoinette Anadio, age 98, of Gloversville, died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born December 3, 1919 in Carbondale, Pa, the daughter of Ralph and Josephine (Tropia) Torino. She was employed as a glove maker by Rubin Glove Co. where she retired from many years ago. Antoinette was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and the former choir of Mount Carmel Church. She was an originator of the Gloversville Little League Auxiliary and a member of the 55 Plus Senior Club and the former Gloversville Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, and taking trips to Bingo and the Casino with her girlfriends. She was especially fond of her new daughter Merilynda who made her many missed birthdays and holidays with family special. She also loved her baked treats. Antoinette is survived by three sons, Dominic A. Anadio, Jr. (Merilynda), Michael A. Anadio and Ralph C. Anadio (Ellen) all of Gloversville; four grandchildren, Andrea Anadio, Dominic Anadio III, Douglas Anadio and Daniel Anadio; as well as four great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominic A. Anadio, Sr; her parents and a brother, Angelo Torino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, February 21 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, with the Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
