Obituary of Dulce M. Ramirez

Mrs. Dulce M. Ramirez, 89, of Glen Ave, Amsterdam, passed away pecefully Wednesday November 12, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Alajuela Costa Rica on March 2, 1919, a daughter of Abel and Amilia Aguilar Lobo. Mrs. Ramirez came to this area in 1971. She was a homemaker and took care of her family. Her family was her life. She at one time was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and currently is a parishioner of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. She married Felix Ramirez in 1948. They were married over 60 years. In addition to her husband who resides in Amsterdam, NY, survivors include, six sons, Herrol Bonilla Anna of California, Felix Ramirez Jr. Isabel of MA, Marco Ramirez Elsie Amsterdam, NY, Frank Ramirez Magda of New Jersey, Jose Ramirez of Amsterdam and Alfredo Ramirez Mercedes of Amsterdam, NY. Six daughters, Lisidia Campos of Costa Rica, Martha Horton James of MA, Maria Steinberg Fernando of Amsterdam, Victoria Konieczny Joe of Amsterdam, Rosa Gomez of Amsterdam and Luz Brender Bill of Amsterdam, NY. 37 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Abuelita, you have shown us such an incredible strength. A strength that all of us that you have left behind can only wish, hope, and pray to have when our time has come. We watched you fight until that last beautiful breath. Your smile brought a sense of happiness to each of us. You gave us all the courage to say goodbye, while you held on as long as you could. You are in a better place with no agony, pain or fears. You are reunited with your parents and more family. We know that you are up there looking down on us & waiting for us with that beautiful smile on your face. We know you will be there to meet us, someday. Until that day…you will be with us in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. You will never be forgotten & always loved. We love you so much…RIP 11.12.08. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday November 15th, 2008 at 11:00A.M. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, East Main St., Amsterdam with Father John Medwid as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Fridaythis evening November 14th, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010 .
