Obituary of Norma A. Pikul
Norma A. Pikul, 77, of Westline Road passed away unexpectedly Monday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.
Born January 1, 1931, in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Anna May Crandall Nadler. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School.
Norma was employed as a housekeeper for the Super 8 Motel in Amsterdam for a number of years.
She attended St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in Hagaman and she enjoyed sewing and gardening.
On January 3, 1954 she married Raymond R. Pikul. Besides her husband she is survived by a son Douglas J. Pikul Maureen of Edinburg; a daughter, Dale A. Pikul of Saratoga Springs; two brothers, Theodore Nadler, Jr. and Francis Nadler of Amsterdam; a sister, Jean F. Bornt of Amsterdam; two step-grandchildren and seven great step-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 11 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Cremation will take place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
