Obituary of Kenneth J. Gagne

Kenneth J. Gagne, 86, of the Theodore Roosevelt Apartments, Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday December 3, 2008 at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam, NY on January 17, 1922 a son of Charles and Nina Buddle Gagne. He was a lifelong area resident at attended Amsterdam schools. Mr. Gagne first was employed at the General Electric Company in Amsterdam. He later was the owner and operator of the former Carpet Baggers Restaurant in Amsterdam from 1977 until his retirement in 1984. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. Survivor's include his brothers and sisters, Theodore Gagne of M.A., Doris Mauriello of Schenectady, Virginia Delos of California and Shirley Wojciechowski of Johnstown, NY. Loving nieces and nephews, Patricia Jablonski of Amsterdam, Margaret Mary Lewis Mark of Amsterdam, Thomas Jablonski of Amsterdam, Keith Jablonski Kathy of Queensbury, Robert Gibson of Denver, Colorado. Other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, George Gagne, Gloria Mastroianni, Walter Gagne, Barbara Jean Gibson and Marie Quick. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY.
