Obituary of Rose Bernstein

Rose Bernstein, 59, of Liberty Enterprises Carlisle Rd. Home in Canajoharie, passed away Monday December 8th, 2008 at her home. Born in Puerto Rico on June 27, 1949 a daughter of Raymond Bernstein and Betty Habif. She was a resident of Liberty in Canajoharie since 1991. Rose attended the Canal St. Day-Hab in Ft. Plain for many years and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Rose was a very spiritual person and loved being outdoors in the sunshine. She leaves behind her Mother, Betty Habif of Miami Beach, Florida. One sister, Miriam Bernstein Giraldez of Miami Beach, Florida. Her beloved housemates, Connie Bowman, Rene Cosme, Angelo Diaz, Judy Eisenberg, Ellen Freiberg, Ellen Grossman, Harriett Isaacman, Lori Kantor, Julia Marshall, Stephen Nadler, Penny Swart. She is also survived by her caregivers of Canal St. Day-Hab and her Carlisle Rd. home. Other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 11th, 2008 at 11:00A.M. at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. A calling hour will precede the funeral service on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00A.M. at the funeral home.
