Obituary of June Norma Eaton

June Norma Eaton, 82, of Lavender Lane, Fultonville, passed away Friday, December 12th, 2008 at the Mountain Valley Hospice Home in Gloversville, NY. Born in Ontario, NY on June 7, 1926 she was a daughter of John and Norma Brunswick DeLass. She was raised in Ontario, NY and was a graduate of Ontario, NY schools. June was a homemaker all of her life. She at one time was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader and a member of various church choirs. She and her husband were members of the Christian Service Organization; SOWERS for over 10 years and most recently was a member of the Fonda Reformed Church. She married Granger H. Eaton on March 8, 1946. In addition to her husband, survivors include five children, David Eaton Victoria of Penhook, VA, Thomas John Eaton of Milwaukee, WI, Lt. Col. Bradley G. Eaton Dayla of Kansas City, MO, Nancy Elizabeth YarrisonGerald Parker, CO, and Liane Lewis Thomas of Glen, NY; one brother, Gerald DeLass of Webster, NY; one sister, Thelma Schreiber of Ontario, NY; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold DeLass. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17th, 2008 at 1:00PM at the Fonda Reformed Church, Broadway, Fonda, NY with Rev. Christopher DeGraaf presiding. Interment will be in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fonda Reformed Church, Broadway, Fonda, NY 12068.
